The Benefits
At Happy Snappers we aim to harness the child’s creative self-expression and processes of creative thinking through the wonder of Photography. Our photography club workshops are molded and structured uniquely for kids and we strive to:
- Encourage active and critical learning through creative discovery and fun
- Stimulate right-brain development by guiding learners through creative problem-solving and decision making processes
- Support children through the processes of effective visual communication and story-telling by developing their creativity, imagination and innovation through ‘learning-to-see’, observe and interpret their own visual world by means of various photographic approaches which explores 2D and 3D shapes, textures, light and composition
- Instill a love for photography at a young age
During all our sessions we encourage the development of a visually literate child with a passion for photography through guiding them to slow down and notice the world around them and then capture what they see

About us
The team
Anita completed her National Diploma in Photography at Tshwane Technikon and completed her degree in photography at CPUT. She also has certificates in journalism and fine arts. She has taught workshops in photography and photography classes in Stellenbosch.
Her body of work comes from various clients like Disney, City of Cape Town, Volpes, Nelson Mandela Foundation, Doctors without Borders and various magazines like Woman and Home. She has worked both on location and in studio.
A Photographic journey
We are currently running pop-up workshops in and around Cape Town.E-mail to sign up to the mailing list.The classes cover darkroom photography, the history of photography, composition, exposure, digital photography, the art of photography and many more aspects which are taught in a fun, creative and inspiring way. The courses guide kids to discover the wonder of photography.
